Hungarian FEG WALAM 48 Pistol - .380 ACP - Moka's Raifus
The WALAM 48 was a copy of the Walther Model PP made by Fegyver- és Gépgyártó Részvénytársaság (aka FÉG) in Hungary in the years after World War Two. It was originally produced as the 48M police pistol (in .32 caliber) to replace the aging stocks of Frommer Stop pistols used by Hungarian police...
I got mine a year ago for $275 and it was imported individually by DWJ not part of a big batch. Missing loaded chamber indicator, and note mokas guns also can be missing it in lower grades but doesnt effect function and you can stick a screw to plug hole.
Get springs for a PA-63. The guns are great, crisp 4.5lb SA pull and the worst DA pull imaginable. But the SA is the important one, right? Also, with new springs, mine is 100% reliable. Only the ejector needed replacing due to stovepipes and I've been too lazy to replace anything but that and the recoil.
Tokagypts had the same numbers produced but they go for $750 because there haven't been any big import batches like the walam has.
Mine is top right of the pic! Beautiful thing.
