I got my hands on one of these a month back - Griffon Heat and Mirage Mitigation Systems

Did some long distance shooting with my 700p and 762SD Suppressor a couple weeks ago but I completely forgot I had the Griffon off and was waiting for the mirage to dissipate. Of course while waiting I remember I had it in my range bag and as soon as I slipped it on - mirage went away!

Definitely saves waiting for the cool down time at the range to take off and put the suppressor in your range bag after a shooting a while.

silencer temperature will vary, natch, depending on specific application. a silicone
wrap should be designed to co-exist with the worst case scenario. generally, 5-600ºF
for a silencer though it can go higher if you're running full-auto. many general
purpose silicone wraps will max out about 500ºF. so the devil will be in the details
and for each person to apply and consider.
