do you know if the vortex manufacturers warranty carries over? Reason I ask is I can get new for $149.99 incl. shipping and get the warranty as a new purchase. If the warranty still applies to the 2nd hand ownership, then your deal might not be so bad.

The warrenty covers whoever has the scope in thier posseion when its sent to them. This was explained by a nice person at Vortex when I called about another scope I had.
