Hey guys, looking for some ideas from you who've served in the Marines Corps. I never served, but my nephew joined last year and I want to make him a homemade gift of appreciation for his service using my used brass casings that I am not doing anything with. I don't reload and I'm sure I'll have plenty more down the road when I start.
My nephew is currently stationed in DC, and wants to serve his time as a Body Bearer which I have the upmost respect for this kid for. He started body building at 16 and is a huge meat head now, I love it.
I've been reading a lot on Marine sayings, logos, emblems etc. but having never served I don't want to make something irrelevant or "corny" ya know...been watching YouTubes on art people make out of used brass casings. I was going to make him a tank but then found that the Marines quit using tanks...hence why I need your ideas.
So, any ideas throw em out there! Sayings, logos, weapons etc. I'm working with about five 1 gallon ziplock bags full of .308, 5.56, 10mm, .45 acp, and 9mm. Just doing a quick bucket wash to clean them up a bit first.
Thanks!
