This is a reminder for those who think we'll just get the BS anti-gun laws in Oregon overturned by the courts. It's cheaper to prevent them and the courts in these parts are not our friends.

We had some close elections that should have went our way but did not. It seems our interest as electors usaully doesn't extend beyond our districts. One day we will realize that we need to extend our interest and support to pro-gun candidates in close race districts no matter where they are in the state.

This video really brings it home for me. IP16 would be much much worse if it passed here in Oregon. If you haven't put your 2 cents in on the idea I had for defeating IP16, please share your thoughts here: Oregon - IP16 Strategy

Probably nothing at this juncture as it's now in the hands of the courts. However, there are more bills being proposed that one can certainly address to their respective elected rep.
The old adage of "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" come to mind. The anti's are most certainly writing/voicing their views and as such, we should be doing the same. But with more vigor..
Will they listen? That's an unknown. But failing to speak out is more reflective of giving approval than being opposed. Much like, your rep saying they didn't hear any opposing views.

Youtube video will be up soon. Basically, the primary enforcement functions belong to the local agencies. Ferguson's response to the court was that he wasn't enforcing the law directly, the locals were because of the level of offense did not meet state level prosecution requirements, but local prosecution. As the agencies made statements about enforcement, they aided our claim to harm, so the agencies in the regions with plaintiffs n the suit, were added to the suit. It also dropped the "safe communities safe schools" group from the suit, (which we didn't name to start, they were added at THEIR own request")
