I feel that question really needs to have a " , " added in there somewhere. A 223, no matter how the chamber is cut is still a 223. just like a 22-250, 223, 222, and some other all shoot a 22cal bullet.

I don't understand the question. The length of the barrel is in inches. The caliber is .223, no unit is required.
