Trouble with Nikon M-223 mount?

Hello All! I have a Radical Firearms AR-15. I'm trying to use a Nikon M-223 mount for my scope and can't seem to get the screws in once the mount has been slid on top of the pic rail. Has anybody had the same trouble or have a fix? Thanks!

Are the cross screws in the right way? Can you visibly look through?

Some are rectangular not square.

Solution come yet?

Nothing yet. Yes, you can see through when lined up, the screws are round and yes going in the right way. The weird thing is I bought a different one, thinking maybe it was a bad mount but the second one I bought wouldn't even slide on the rail. Thanks!

Start with what might be the most obvious problem. You may have a weaver rail?

Yeah, I found my rubber mallet yesterday, so we shall see.

Looks great now. Super tight, so that's good. You can see screw marks on the rail, but so what, a little rubber mallet action and wallah !
