I would feel so lucky. Not to have to hump that thing from the woods to the truck then from the truck to the kitchen table. In this case it would be straight to the hoist in the shop.

Depends on alot of particulars of the property. Dogs? How clean the property is? Natural food source? Time of year? Black bears have a larger home range, with boars venturing out the most. Dont feed wildlife and you probably wont see them offen
For people that have bears on their property, is it common to see them or is it once or twice over several years?

I've actually never seen a bear in the wild, in person. But neighbors and others (the first logger I hired) saw them nearby. The photo I posted is a neighbor's trail cam at the "bottom" of his property, about 300 yards from my house. I've seen bear scat on my property, about 30 yards from my house, and elsewhere around here. They are somewhat nocturnal around here.

Wildlife here avoids humans, because hunting and shooting is allowed, and a lot of people have dogs. Also, most people do not feed the wildlife, not like in the 'burbs.

I have ring doorbell and I get bobcats, black bears, coyotes and even a cougar report some times. Mostly of the time are lost dogs and cats reports.

It seems to vary wildly depending on the year here tucked away in the forest. Some years I never see them, while others I do. This summer we had a black bear visit many times, but seems to have wandered off for now.
