We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
I get ~1800 fps from 13gr Universal and 115 gr swaged bullets out of my 308. Costs me 11 cents per shot. I've never bothered with validating MOA accuracy. It hits the 100yd turkey & sheep plates on the BP range at Tri county.
I use them for trigger and offhand training. Plus they're great for arthritic and recoil sensitive shooters.
I have used the Hornady 174gr RN with 13gr Red Dot in my 91/30 and get reasonably decent accuracy at 100 yds. Recoil and report is on par with a .22LR. One probably could hunt small game with it, but I don't hunt small game.
Haven't loaded it yet but other people are getting 1650fps which is more than enough to do a job on steel without the bruise from a lightweight 303 and standard loads. Plus my rifle is an antique that I don't want to beat up… use it for fun and pass it on.
