I've been eyeing Competition models for awhile. Bought a regular TX22 when Sportsman's had them and then kept an eye out on these slides.

The cost of the slide + regular MSRP of the pistol is equal to the regular MSRP of the Competition model...except now you've got two slides!

Not a bad way to go - just don't overpay for the pistol.

I can't see what the comp slide adds except red dot capability, but if you add one of those and a comp slide your smoking deal cheap, really accurate little plinker becomes a $675 gun. Personally I'd rather spend the dough on a supressor and tax stamp.

The mods are gonna delete this...
