I've been told and I've seen it in print. The Taurus PT22 is not accurate enough to be a good "carry gun". After over 600 rounds of various brands and types of ammo, I have to disagree. With few exceptions, it fired most flawlessly (it had trouble with about 2% of Winchester XPert HP's with the flat nose) and as accurately as I am. I admit , it took some time to learn how to use the iron sights. My bifocals don't help. Everything at arms length is a blur. But I'm getting there and the little gun does impress me.
The target is a 4"x6" Post-it paper, at a measured 21' (7yds). I fired 27 rounds (three mag's 8+1, three times) and had two misses and 25 hits. Two hits are right on the edge, but I count them as hits. All cheap bulk ammo (Federal).
