Finally got around to shooting this thing and it shoots about 8" high at 15 yds. I have the rear sight adjusted as low as it will go. Anyone else own one of these beasts? I'm curious if the problem is just this revolver or all of them. Do they come with the fiber optic front sight? Thanks, Ken
You do not state what load you're shooting. First thing to try is a different load. Heavier/slower bullets hit higher. Lighter/faster ones hit lower. If that doesn't help, you will need a taller front sight blade. DAWSON PRECISION has all sorts of solutions to this problem.
I assume you mean this one.....Taurus International Manufacturing Inc I have this one......Taurus International Manufacturing Inc It shoots fine but the front sight looks to be a tad higher.
Yep, thats it. I was shooting 240 XTP's over 20gr of 2400. I'll screw around with some loads. I have been wrong before, but 8" at 15 yards seems like a lot to correct with a different load/ bullet. I wanted this for my Bear whacker and it needs to shoot where I point it . Thanks for the input.
I use 12.5gr of Blue Dot with 240 XTP's if you want to try those. My range is in the back yard so you can come try it with those if you want to. 20gr of 2400 seems kinda high, that may be the issue. you may want to back down to around 17-18.
