Is it arcing in that second photo without firing? I have an X26p for "bus people" downtown, and I have to pull the cartridge out to cackle it.

This model doesn't require you to take the cartridges out in order to "dry stun".

Correct! Wish the photo would show that better. With the X2 you don't have to remove the cartridges to engage that useful "cackle"
