I'm trimming down on the weapons that I own, as I'm in the process of applying/selecting for grad school, and I would like to free up some of the cash I have invested in firearms. So, sadly, I'm going to put my favorite 1911 up for sale. If you want a no-BS review of the SW1911SC E-Series, you should take a look at TTAG's review (Click it!).
This is S&W's scandium frame, round butt, commander sized 1911. It's around 28-29 ounces, and it carries extremely well. I've carried it OWB and IWB with no complaints. I added a Wilson Combat Slide Release and 3 of their "legendary" 47D magazines. The pistol came with a very positive ambi safety, as well as a great set of trijicon vial-ed night sights. They are less than a year old, and are as bright as any I've seen. It's a dream to shoot, and I've put 8 rounds in a pretty small hole at ~15yds off hand (see last photo). I figured that I would keep it forever, but I feel that my educational opportunities are a bit more important right now. I have 500 rounds through her, and I have actually had no FTF/FTE so far. I used good quality ammo, and nothing too exotic.
I'm looking at $1300*. With the parts and the mags, this is still a pretty fair deal to me. So, have at it!
All Reasonable trades considered, though I would like to get at least 500-600 cash out of the deal.
* I'll throw in a Garrett Industries Silent Thunder STXII holster, though it is set up for a southpaw. You can check out the holster at this <broken link removed>. Also with 76 rounds of Double Tap 230gr HP's. Great ammo.
And now, what everyone really wants, the pics.
