It slides in and you need a punch or something pointy to remove it. I ditched it for the magpul one. Warning is that its floppy it doesn't have a spring like the magpul one that keeps it in the down position so it just hangs out when its in the down position it looks in when closed and does its job tho

Really easy to install and remove
