This doesn't get the love it deserves, and I'm trying to fund another purchase, so it's time to list it.
This is an old school, pre Staccato, STI 5.1 Eagle. Chambered in .45ACP, it's a double stack, 12rd capacity lead slinging machine. The trigger on this pistol is impossibly crisp, with a reset some people dream about. Recoil is negligible given that it's a poly framed .45. Accuracy is outstanding, and the pistol has a fixed front and adjustable rear target style sight. Includes five 12rd magazines and a drop style holster that will come with a Safariland UBL (UBL not pictured).
But wait, there's more! This gun had its heyday in an era before slide mounted pistol optics. Back then, guys and gals would have a frame mounted red dot base for competition use. Only problem is, an iron sight equipped slide wouldn't function with such a mount. Thus, this pistol package also includes a 5.5 complete slide, barrel, recoil spring assembly, and compensator. I had originally thought to have this milled for a slim red dot like an RMRcc or a 507K, but never got around to it. This is a fine piece of shooting history, and represents a really cool transitional period in firearm technology.
