Hi All:

This pistol has been in the family for 50+ years and in that time it has been shot 15 times (by me). I am trying to find out more about it so do any of you know of a website I can trace it. The serial number is on one of the pictures posted. The gun is in great shape with two mags and cool holster.

Thanks for the help.

James

A book I've found handy, and there is coverage of the Model B, is Spanish Handguns: The History of Spanish Pistols & Revolvers, by Gene Gangarosa Jr. (Stoeger Publishing, 2001).

One site that may be of interest is this.

Cheers. :)

Per Star Firearms by Leonardo M. Antaris your pistol was one of a batch of 2500 (ser.# 244503-247-002 built in 1944 and sent to the Germans. Its destination was Bordeaux France, but the fortunes of war at that time prevented them from being delivered. Cool piece of history to have!!

Thanks for the help. It is much appreciated.
Do you believe the holster is original?

James
It very well could be. Does it have any markings inside of it or on the backside?? Does it have the extra magazine in it?? If not, does the magazine from the gun fit correctly??

Here is the holster. The gun and extra mag fit perfect.

When I get back from traveling i will be putting this one up for trade or sell.

Thanks:

James

The Eagle and WaA938 are German proof marks so the holster definitely came from Germany. It is not a Luger holster as the mag would be on the front, not the side. It could be a P-38 holster, I'm not familiar with those, but I don't think a Model B would be good fit. If/when you decide to sell/trade it please let me know!!

I have a Model B from the same purchase. One thing to note is the last 3 digits of the serial number is stamped on all the parts to aid in armory work. This was a German requirement. Aside from being a nasty thumb web biter its the most reliable pistol I have it never jams and feeds anything but super light loads.
