Stand your ground laws under attack

Hell yes I want to shoot 1st when presented with an existential threat.
Shooting second is a good way to head off to the long dirt nap.

Just wondering:
I am an Official Gimp with an Official Gimp Card and everything due to advanced arthritis. I even have a prescription for a cane.
Since I can't run, what exactly would I be expected to do to manifest the required effort to escape?
