I bought this rifle new at Christmas time fired about 80rds through it.
have box and all that came in box. one 5rd mag unused, nine 20rd mags only used a couple the rest are new.
2780rds of mill-spec ammo, 1880 are SA, 600 are Aussi, 260 unknown

$2900.00 for all, $1600.00 for rifle and mags only.
I will not sell any ammo tell rifle is sold so please don't ask.
Rifle buyer gets first crack at any or all ammo if buyer doesn't want ammo i will re list it.
NO TRADES.
Looking for FTF cash deal in se PDX.

6 of the 20's are new GI body's with with rebuild kit's all bought new back during the ban.
The other 3 20's and 5rd are Springfield

My ignorance was the reason for asking the difference. I don't know the difference between the two, actually. I was asking so that I could be informed. I appreciate the info about it being a Socom 16 that helps me figure out what I am looking at. A picture is sometimes worth a thousand words unless you don't know what language those words are in.

Can the muzzel brake on this model be changed to a muzzel break like longer M1As have?
ie is it threaded on?
jj

No you cant put the M1a style brake on it,brake and front sight are one unit.
Smith make a replacement setup for the socoms that's very nice and a little longer.
