the v-10 stood for 10 rnd capacity on the wide body models due to the high capicity magazine ban in i beleive 1996 sorry no trades at this time thanks

Give Springfield a call @ 1-800-680-6866 with the serial number and they can give you the specs on the weapon and exactly when it was built...

Also if you did not know it, Springers have a lifetime warranty regardless of how many owners it has had.. You might get a pleasent surprise, it could be a custom build out of the custom shop...

Funny you should mention the custom shop ,several gun shops in the area
said the same thing , when i checked on it with springfield a couple of months ago ,jon yacapraro at their dealer assistance team , said it was not a custom shop gun , however my model pb9751 was made in july of 1997 , they were only made for 3 years , which is ashame because it is a very good shooting pistol , i hate to sell it but times are tough and could use the money for fixing up the house, so any reasonable cash offer i would consider , thanks for your time
