Good condition (as modified) Eddystone M1917 American Enfield sporter chambered in 30-06, manufactured in 1918 according to OldGuns.net. Minor scuffs and scrapes on stock, no cracks. Metal finish is worn with around 50% blueing remaining but appears to be original with no pitting or rust. Front sight replaced with simple blade, original rear sight is removed. Right side of stock is inlet and receiver is tapped for a peep sight, where I've installed Williams 5D-JEMS.
Functions beautifully and has a very nicely broken in trigger. At the risk of mild embarrassment, I'll share this 5 round group I shot with it just a couple days ago at 100 yards with '69 head stamped Greek HXP M2 ball (ignore the flyer, that was me):
I really do like it and am only selling because I recently picked up a non-sporterized action to rebuild into the original as-issued configuration.
Sale includes 5 stripper clips:

Sale includes 5 stripper clips:
- 3x Swedish Mauser M96, a popular alternative to the USGI stripper clips for the M1903 and M1917 because they don't have the little tabs that break off with repeated use
- 2x original U.S. M1903/M1917
