Sounds like some clearing house kind of place got your number. They sell batches of this info. Mine will taper off for a while then will get several for days or weeks. After they are ignored they seem to again taper off. There used to be and may still be a way to report these to the FCC. Long ago I used to do it but it was a cumbersome process to do so and finally just gave up. Anyone in my contacts has a ring tone to let me know its someone I know. The rest are not answered unless I am expecting a delivery. Often the driver will call.Anybody else experiencing an INCREASE in SPAM calls?
Ever since the 1st I am getting MORE than I ever have - like up to three a day.
I certainly don't answer them and none are leaving voice mail but it seems like an unusual amount.
i accidentally answered one of those calls a while back. After I while I said, "Send them over, I'll be waiting!!". They never showed up.I've also talked to the guys in India or Pakistan who told me they were the US Marshals calling from Washington DC. They said they were going arrest me. They finally got frustrated with me and hung up.
You should repeatedly yell into the phone, "curry in a hurry, curry in a hurry, curry in a hurry"........!!I just call them "harijan" or "daleet" they never call back.
Note: this is only used for telemarketers. Not to be used in polite company as it is considered horribly offensive.
I believe you meant "voice recognition service"....I get these calls from my 541 area code and when I answer it's someone not from around here claiming to be from the voice recegnation(sp) service. I just hang up on them.

Same with mine - and because of this we probably get and make more calls than say the average person however I have NEVER experienced as many SPAM identified calls as I have in the last week!My personal cell is also my business cell,
Once in a great while I get an odd one like someone calling to tell me an unauthorized user is attempting to make a payment to my account and they just need to verify my details... First of all, if some random prick wants to pay my bills for me why are you stopping them? And second, I don't have an account with you in the first place, so......Reason I don't use my phone number when selling things online like CL, until I can establish ID and good rapport via Email. Get too many scam calls and texts. The woes of selling things privately. Tax season also brings the s**t stains out of the wood work too. You'd think with the effort these turds put into scamming people, they could do something more socially constructive lol.
I like the scammers who call our shop overhead intercom line and out of nowhere someone says a charge was made on your Amazon account or whatever echoing through the shop bay areas lol.
