One of the things I can't be bothered with is the resale value of a gol-dern AR.

I have Andersons, Aeros, Colts, RRA, New Frontier, and BCG. The only time I notice a difference is if one has the screw to retain the bolt catch instead of a damn roll pin.

Somebody needs to offer a conversion kit to easily do that for lowers that don't come that way. I hate that roll pin install.

That's because neither of you have a comprehension of how tiny threads and aluminum pan out for longevity. Roll pins are an integral design component of the AR for a reason. There are receivers that are decades old in our military armories, that would not be the case with that design "feature".

Probably gonna be some butthurt here but reality is proper know how and proper tools rule the day here.

What is Coastal? I'm in WA not OR, not familiar with them. The OP said he pays $40-$50 transfer fee for every registered receiver or firearm so hopefully he considers going to wherever you are getting a background check for $10 at.
Coastal Farm and Ranch.
The $50 the OP is talking about is for a FTF transaction, $10 for the BGC (Oregon) and $40 for the shop fee.
Now, you're in WA, and I'm sure the libtards in OLY set your fees much higher, because gunz-r-bad and all that.

Ah, that makes sense. You bought the lower directly from Coastal & avoided the shop fee altogether so you only paid $10 for the BGC. Well OP seems to be set on ordering a lower instead of buying one in person (most stores don't really carry cheap Sub-$80 lowers, what OP is looking for). Also in WA we do pay the background check fee but it's $18 not $10, so only $8 more than in Oregon. Of course, add a shop fee if you order from a website/3rd party just like you would in Oregon. To be 100% honest, both $10 and $18 are not unreasonable but they are both infringements on our rights either way.

Please put out some more, dad. But with a more impatient tone, using superlatives. And screw your face up into a really disgusted facial expression.

It makes NWFA more like ARFCOM.

🤡

Disagree. I do not recall ever encountering @titsonritz ever using profanity or belligerence like I've seen on ARF.
I've had the threaded pin back out, but have never had a roll pin move.

if they lengthen the boss feature for more threads it might be an option but a roll pin in the current lower geometry is going to be way stronger and last virtually forever. Tiny threads in a short space is not a good idea.
