They are cranking those out, I suspect the fears of a cease of 7.62x39 availability spurred the churning out of 5.56 alternatives

Also, 7.62x39 use to be quite a bit cheaper than 5.56, not so much anymore. Plus for people that already have an AR but don't want and don't want to add another cartridge it only makes sense. I'm not getting rid of 7.62 AKs but I wouldn't mind adding a FB Radom Beryl 5.56.

There is no cheap steel case production in the states and imported stuff is always a target to the anti gun scumbags. Always stockpile I say.

I don't keep up with it since it's useless to me, but I believe importation from Rooskieland has been deemed not super legal anymore.
