There some nice shotguns with wood stock in the 300 range. Police k one up and cut it to fit. Don't worry about resale. You've son can one day pass it on to his some.

Also, there is an A's New Mossberg 510 youth model for sale on this site now. Take a look.

It's a great shotgun, trust me.

where can i get a different stock for it, and do they have any lighter ones ? Weight seems to be an issue as well. The other Ithaca i started him on was a featherweight.
Already talked with him.
