Sorry to get off subject for a minute but I know quite a bit about axles and have not heard of a Dana 41, what is it off of??

The Dana 41 was the precursor to the Dana 44 and was used from the 1930s to the 1950s. The ring gear on the Dana 41 is near one inch smaller than a Dana 44.

I never herd of one either but since I have never owned a car from the 1950s
