Smith & Wesson Model 10-6 in extremely nice condition. 4inch heavy pinned barrel, dating it pre 1971 or 73. This was a very quick Impulse Buy. I do like it, & I wont mind keeping it, but Ive got a 36 & 686, so I'll see what kind of semi auto I can trade for. I can always add cash where necessary. Pinned and recessed means pre 1981. The -6 in the model 10-6 means it is in the 6th engineering change since introduction.

I dont think mine is recessed, i always thought when i heard the term recessed, they were referring to the ejector rod shrouded in under barrel casing. pinned meaning how the barrel is attached to the gun., which i thought was not done anymore after 1973. the serial number on this revolver is 65059. any idea of its date? Thanks, Lance

Do you have a cash price in mind? I don't have any semi-autos right now.. I'd like to have a nice quality .38 though.

Recessed cylinders were only for magnums.
