Single six 22 mag question

Hi All,

I have a Ruger single six that I got after a Bro-in-law passed away a number of years back. It only came with the 22LR cylinder but I think at one time it had a 22 mag cylinder also.

It was made in the late 1970's. I know I can send it back to Ruger and have them fit a 22 mag to it, but really don't want to ship it all over with the cost, hassle and it being sentimental and what not.

I live in the Tigard, OR area and I know there is a gunsmith in Donald or some such town south on I-5 but was wondering if anyone knew of a competent gunsmith in the Portland area?
