Selling my Sig Sauer P220 in .45 cal. This is the early model that was made in West Germany so it has the mag release on the bottom. This pistol is very accurate and a lot of fun to shoot. Some slight holster wear but still in excellent working condition. Comes with one mag, holster, soft case, and 11 rounds of Hornady Critical Defense.

$550 cash OBO

Open to pistol or rifle trades

The bottom mag release is known as the European version ...
West Germany offered both mag release designs in the early models ...

They were imported both by Sig as the P220 and by Browning as the BDA. This version also has slightly different internals in that you should always use the safety lever to lower the hammer... If you lower it with your thumb, like you would a 1911, it bypasses the hammer block and rests on the firing pin... If you drop the gun on the hammer, it could AD... This feature carried over into the American mag release model for a short time, Then they updated it with the better P226-type internals that allow you to lower it either by thumb or lever without a drop danger... So with your's, It's recomended to lower the hammer with the lever and not your thumb then It's a perfectly safe gun , As like most 220's they are very accurate ...
