Arkansas ammo plant expansion announced

Sig Sauer said Friday it will expand its ammunition manufacturing plant in Jacksonville, with plans to add more than 600 jobs over the next five years and invest $150 million in the project.

The plant makes small-arms ammunition for civilian, law enforcement and military markets worldwide. The Jacksonville plant also makes pistol night sights and sits on more than 60 acres. Nationwide, Sig Sauer employs more than 3,200 people.
