My dog surgically removes the squeaker. His goal is to have destroyed the toy on the way home from the pet store. You ought to see how he can turn a hundred foot garden hose into pieces no longer than 6" and many are closer to an inch. We have gone to steel hoses. I love Mike my border collie but he is lucky he became our kid.

My girl Millie was the champion at tearing up toys. She even managed to chew apart one of those things made from firehose material.

Squeaky toys? Forget it. It's like her motto was "If it makes noise, I must destroys!"

Her record for obliterating a toy, from shopping bag to total destruction, was 2 minutes flat. I was so impressed at her ability I gave her the remains to wear as a crown.

I miss the little goof.

When ours were young we had a hell of a time with that. They LOVED toys with a squeaker but many of them would last a matter of an hour at most till they had the damn thing torn out. Damn they had fun doing it though. We were able to at times find some that were made out of something so tough it took them a good while but they were always hard to find.
