Two fouling rounds before hunting season.

100 yards. The box says 2.2" for a 200 yard zero. I'm thinking of dropping 1/10 mil, but it's pretty close. That 308 is a mortar.
👍

I shoot an '06 with 180s. With a 100 yard zero I can still shoot to 200 without any change. 250 requires a little adjustment, but not much.

I've got a 1-10 twist and I tried a few 150s out of her, and they were thrown out in disdain. She really loves the 178s. The ballistics between the two is very small.

Sight in last Wednesday. Rem 600 in 243 using Norma Whitetail 100gr.
The high shot is from my 30-06 740 Woodmaster. Don't know why it was so high. The scope has no adjustment that I could see, so I set it aside.

I'm far from the world's best marksman. Plus I'm old and have issues with my hands. My standards of acceptability depend upon the range, equipment and type of ammo. I have rifles with scopes and I expect to do better with those than with my rifles that have iron/open sights. With the M1 Rifles (.30-06, .308 Win) I'm happy staying inside a six inch circle at 100 yards. A scoped rifle such as a .223 Rem. or .243 Win., on a good day two inches or less. My goal is repeatable, lethal shots within the range capability of the firearm. Repeatability requires practice but which in turn doesn't guarantee perfection.

Handguns are another story. I have none with a scope or other fancy aiming device. I view them as essentially close range firearms. When I practice, range is typically 12 to 15 yards. Most I can keep in a six inch circle at 15 yards. A few I can get two inch groups with flyers.
