Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
If there's no real sentimental or practical value to the rifle, then research it & the ammo and offer it as a package here or gunbroker or maybe a rimfire or C&R forum.
If it was a family heirloom you may want to keep it. If so, then shoot it, maintain it and pass it down. Just go with your gut.
If you do decide to sell, you might want to list it here first so this gang of pirates gets first shot.
Ill echo what @GOG said:
If there is no sentimental value, shoot half the ammo you have. Take pics and video so you can remember it.
Id use the remaining ammo as a "package" deal with the firearm.
If it came from a family member, Id keep it. Even if ammo becomes nonexistent and you never shoot it..
Family is family and their heirlooms should be cherished.
