I don't know how to grade guns.
Ithaca model 37 in 16 gauge.
6 digit S/N. No idea on agr
Seems solidly field worn.
Barrel has some notable scratches near the muzzle, the bluing is mostly worn off on the engraved receiver, and the stock and pump have dings.
Any ideas as to value?

Without seeing the shotgun in person.....
A rough guess here is $300 - $500.

Where I live 16 gauge ain't too popular...and inability to use steel shot....hurts the dollar value.

Thank you. Was not aware of the issue with steel shot.
The seller is asking $450 but it seems pricey to me.
Value for me is nostalgia, to replace an Ithaca stolen from us when I was a kid.

As a general rule....
Older fixed choke shotguns ( Full ) should not be used with steel shot.
Now....
Some folks and even some gun companies have changed their tune with this.
Remington comes to mind here.
At one time Remington said no with steel shot and older fixed choke 870 barrel....then it was okay if the barrel was newer than 1965 and no tighter than Modified.

Also with the newer plastic shotcups...I have heard folks say that it ain't a issue anymore....

What I do know is that older fixed choke shotguns , of any gauge , don't sell well or fast where I live...as a general rule.
