Seeking firearms education

I have seen guns growing up and have even had the chance to shoot as a youth. Now as an adult I am beginning to appreciate their uses and I am wanting to learn more about how they fit in to our American culture. I have been getting familiar with firearms through various friends and programs, but I see and hear that this forum will provide a wealth of knowledge for me as a rather uneducated firearm owner. I look forward to all the things that I can learn from all the awesome folks on this site. Thanks in advance!

If you would like some instruction as a new or new-er shooter,wolverton mt. gun club is hosting an event,open to all new shooters, on Sept. 22nd.

I'll be posting more info ,hopefully this evening as I get it.I was told that there will be a basic safety meeting,and then some shooting,wither with supplied guns,or your own.
