Study Finds That the Vast Majority of Respiratory Diseases in Vapers Are Linked to Illegal THC Products.

Trump Announces E-Cig Crackdown After 6 Vaping-Related Deaths.
The President said Melania was very concerned. Not clear if Baron was consulted.

Some additional familiar elements:
  • Bloomberg
  • We're doing it for the children
Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the billionaire busybody who can be counted on to oppose individual freedom in almost every area of life, is launching a prohibition crusade against flavored e-cigarettes.
:
In the name of saving "America's children," Bloomberg wants to ban the e-cigarette flavors overwhelmingly preferred by adults who have switched from smoking to vaping, a far less dangerous source of nicotine.

I question the intelligence of anyone who deliberately inhales the gasified vapors of an artificial (non-medicinal) chemical substance in the first place. To a non smoker/drug user/habitual drinker y'all look like a bunch of fuggin' slave-junkies standing there getting your fix...

Cool.

Man, this thread is motivating me to go back to smoking, fine, hand rolled, pricey, premium cigars.

Oh, if folks want to 'vape' well 'vape' all you care to.

I'm guessin a lot of anti-vaping types are pro-choice, but you mustn't vape...kma.

I'm (99.8%) libertarian.... smoke and vape away, it'll hopefully strengthen the gene pool before they pollute the rest of the world with their seed... just don't come to us with your hand out because you can't afford the meds to help you breath. ;)

As a former smoker, I can understand the addiction vaping can become, as a substitute for smoking. But I'm in agreement with @Stomper on this one, inhaling man made oils and blends that are essentially burned to create smoke, yea, that's just a bit dumber than inhaling tobacco smoke... :s0054:

I was (sort of) thinking about that issue just the other day. I mean.....where have all the cigarette taxes (money) gone to? Wasn't that tax money supposed to be used to help pay for smokers with lung diseases?

Hummm...... But, I don't see any individual getting free treatment for their smoking-related illness. Under OBAMA CARE......an individual has to buy/pay for his/her own insurance. So, in essence, a smoker is double-paying?

But then.....
If they are indigent, then Medicaid (assuming they qualify) foots the bills. Medicaid = Fed Taxpayer Monies.

I don't exactly know for sure. But, wasn't the vast majority of the taxes paid to the State Govt?

Rrrright.......money is fungible........and this entire line of wondering does no good. So.....

Smoke em if you got um.

It's your life (and death).

Aloha, Mark

PS.....YES, I've also heard that the tax money goes to fund Children's Health Insurance. But, aren't parents supposed to be paying for their own kids. OMG!?!?!

EXACTLY!!
This is how I have always looked at it. Don't involve kids in what you do, and don't expect me to pay for it and I pretty much do not care what you want to do.

Banning alcohol worked before. Just ask the mafia.

I may have shared before, back in the day ... the 18th Amendment is in force ... my grandfather lists his occupation as 'chauffeur' 1930 census. Chicago is the town.
Family lore - he was a driver - booze from Canada to Indiana and then upto the big city. One night a rival, perhaps the cops, put a truck on the road - no lights due to the activity of course. My grandfather was laid up for weeks. men would come by with paper sacks, which had cash.
My dad was about 5 at the time.
Part 2. much of what he brought up was in unusual containers. Men would take that into the neighbors house, then and the container got passed across to his house thru a window on the 2nd/3rd floor. Then, my grandmother would transfer that to smaller bottles in the bath tub. Before it got handed back.

Kids in the one house meant it wasn't going to get raided. The upstairs transfer also made the informants job harder - you can see front/back doors but the narrow gap was hard to reconnoiter without being spotted.

True? It is a pretty plausible story.

And Kennedy's father use to run molasses. Lot of stuff happened back in those days, so anything is plausible. And most likely did happen.
