I'm seriously considering filling out the paperwork and paying to get my stamp to turn my 870P into a short barreled shotgun. I found one on google that I am in love with! Question is, what are the cons? I know the cost, which isn't bad, and the wait. Also, resale is hard. Can I take a SBS into other states? What else should I consider? I would like it cut back to the stock mag tube cap, 12"? I'll post a picture.

SBS are NOT allowed in WA state. You'd need to file a 5320 with the ATF for any state you want to travel to. Assuming it's legal in that state.
