  1. I have read and accept the classified system rules and terms of service.
I'm selling a Savage model 10 in .260 rem, I purchased it with the following mods, Shilen 18" heavy stainless barrel, Bell & Carlson stock, P&G bolt, EBCO recoil lug. No scope, will include several boxes of Hornady ammo.

It's a great shooting rifle, I just want to go back to. 308 since I already reload it.

$650, only trade I'd be interested in is a .308 bolt gun.

I know 6.5 Creedmoor is the popular caliber now, but .260 is very similar, takes the same projectiles, and has a bit more room for powder from what I've read.

It's better in every way except for ammo selection.... doomed by bad marketing and bad twist rates originally.

I wonder what 6.5 creed paid for advertising?
It was Remingtons fault.... they twisted the rifle too slow originally and didnt release enough good hunting ammo offerings. The 140 corelokt penetrates way too much for thin skinned medium game and doesnt mushroom well. Ruger and Savage saw the twist issue and remedied it quickly but the damage was already done unfortunately... was my favorite caliber and rifle for quite a while but it cost me the biggest buck I've ever seen during season.

Well, I imagine Shilen knows the correct twist rate.
