Picked up the Savage 111 with Nikon scope for less than $400 from a local BiMart. Was pleasantly surprised to see it is capable of shooting well without doing any mods.

I'm curious if your scope was mounted by a drunk monkey, too? I bought the same rifle a year or so ago at bimart and the deal was too good to pass up. I was going to trace the scope anyway, however; my scope wasn't level and the rings were flush on one side with a couple mm gap on the other, screws too tight.
