I had read online that the ruger gunscout magazines, the originals by accurate mag, were identical to those that came with the savage 10ba. So thinking I'd save some $$ I picked up a 5 round ruger polymer magazine. And at first thought it appeared there were just slightly off from locking in place. So i got out the dremel and started shaving off point of contact until it locked in place. It was alot of sanding. More then you'd assume.
I did get the magazine to lock in, but after going through 40 rounds with the magazine about every 6th round seemed to not want to go into battery. Where as with the factory savage 10ba accurate mag was flawless. It may take a bit more sanding to get the magazine to seat perfectly, but I would not recommend getting the ruger polymer mags for a savage 10ba.
