I ran into Tick Licker firearms just a few blocks from home here in south Salem. The prices I checked on specific firearms seem VERY good. Another member here mentioned that their transfer fee is $10 but I haven't verified that.
I shoot an M1 Garand and am trying out the PPU ammo that has been getting good ratings and Tick Liker has that at a very reasonable price for 20 rounds as well as bulk quantities sold in ammo cans.
I really hope these people do well and are there for my next firearms purchase.

Also, I dropped in on Tritac indoor range in north Salem by the fairgrounds. Nice tidy 6 lane range with individually controlled targets in 20 yard lanes. They permit up to .338 in rifle, have a rental full auto. They require you buy their ammo or pay $5 to use commercial ammo you bring.
I see a posting from another forum member about a simulator at Tritac, but did notice that while I was there.
I will be going over there this next week to rent a pistol with three dot sights to learn whether that type of sight is something I want on my carry.
