S & W Custom Shop Pistols - Value

I saw a S&W model 52-2 38 special WC pistol on the big auction site for $1,295 today. Those are getting to be somewhat rare anymore, don't see them up for sale very often. That was strictly a target grade pistol that came with two magazines that had only a five round capacity. Beautiful sights and a single action semi-auto, from the custom shop I believe.

Do you think that the S&W custom shop pistols are holding their value well or are they not in much demand?

i think a 52-2 is worth 7 to 9 hundred if you really wanted one.

Thats what I would have guessed too. But this one has the box and a red dot scope installed, Yipee! Maybe the guy is just trolling for dollars.
