I am selling this for a friend in NY.

This Ruger is 1 of 500 ever produced. This Light Sporter No. 1s to commemorate the 100th year anniversary of the .30-06 cartridge. Patterned after a No. 1 that was auctioned off for nearly $10,000 at the 2006 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show, with engraving designed by Master Engraver Paul Lantuch, this new offering is a gem, indeed. Ruger calls it the Model 11321 and they catalog it as “1-AE-30-06.”

Fully engraved on both sides of the blued receiver and marked “1 of 500” in gold on the bottom of the receiver, it is a classy No. 1 any way you cut it. The new commemorative also features a gold Ruger Eagle logo, a pair of gold stars, and 1906-2006 on the left side of the receiver. The right side of the receiver is adorned with a gold wreath surrounding a gold .30-06 round with “Centennial” on both sides of the cartridge.

Ruger’s Standard No. 1 sports open sights with a gold bead up front and a folding, adjustable leaf, rear sight mounted on the rail that also serves as the scope mounting base. Typical of Ruger, this rifle was shipped in the familiar white cardboard box with a complete set of dependable, bulletproof Ruger scope rings that engage the base and hold like they’re a permanent part of the rifle.
