It is a factory convertible with the original .45 cylinder that came with it?

Yes it is a factory convertible. Came from the factory with both cylinders. I believe it was a Davidson's exclusive.

I think you are right, Davidson's exclusive, I bought one late last year also. I didn't see the blued 5-1/2" at that time but I was after the SS 4-5/8 which I bought and immediately handed to my engraver.
Here is mine and the start of the engraving work...
