I have just got my Ruger MK IV and for the most part I like it but, the safety? Not so much.
Reading up a bit about mods available for the MK IV I came across Tandemkross's 1911 style safety which is non ambidextrous.
Are there any MK IV owners who have changed out the safety for one of these (and other mods)? I'd like your opinions.

The tandemkross safety is a must.
As a rimfire challenge / steel challenge competitor this platform is addicting to upgrade.
Enjoy the journey

I still have the factory safety on my MKIV 22/45 but have installed the Volquartsen trigger kit on all my Ruger 22/45's. Huge improvement, I used the CMore scope mount(s) to put the 1" diameter tube scopes on a couple and a plate that replaces the rear site for a red dot on another. It's really preference of what you are wanting to do with it.

I almost forgot when you want the best companion to the Mark IV pistol look no further than CPfirearms Mantis Upper kit

Probably more than I'm prepared to go but that is an impressive setup.

I pulled the gun apart as I wanted to get a feel for how to pull it down. According to the vid on Tandemkross I need a spacer to go on the right side when I change out the safety for the new one, and I don't HAVE it (I bought this pistol second hand). I guess a call to Ruger is on the cards.

I just installed my cornerstone safety last night along with some other upgrades from TK. Not hard to get carried away with there parts! I like the feel much better then original. I recommend the 3 piece (Get a grip kit)

Looks good.
I took off the r/h side safety lever which straight away feels better and was a click away from getting the TK cornerstone safety while they had free shipping but didn't as I was still tossing up whether or not to add the slide release and the extended magazine release.

For sure I'll get the safety and mag update but I'm still on the fence with the slide release as I'm not too sure it will suit my hand grip position which I've got used to with my 1911.

Not answering your question but (G). I installed the Tandemkross "Ultimate Trigger kit" and it did wonders for the trigger pull/feel and got rid of that mandatory magazine in and out nonsense.
