    I have a wood stock for sale for a Ruger 10/22. It is as new. Asking $50.

    This is a Deluxe Sporter stock. It is walnut.

    This is a carbine stock.
    A carbine stock may or may not have a barrel band, but it does have a curved butt plate, inletted into the stock, of metal in the early days, and of space-age plastic, in modern times. Originally, it was walnut. In modern times, it is dark-stained-birch or plywood. (laminated)

    Mine appears to be the carbine stock in what looks like walnut. There is a barrel band notch.
