Tapered barrel or bull barrel?

This thing is pretty old school, it is cut for the factory skinny barrel. You may be able to let it out for a bull, but I cannot guarantee that.

The folding hinge solid? Metal or plastic?

don't quite know what you mean by solid, it locks up pretty tight in either position if that is what you mean. The main body of the stock is plastic, the hinge is steel, the buttstock part is steel frame with a plastic shell. This is the old style made back when a lot of steel was used and the only choices in a folder were this one, choate, and ram-line.
