RMR cc onto a P365

Do you think a red and light are both needed for a 365? My son just got one and seems to think a light is enough.

They serve different purposes. One is for target ID, one is for POA.

I only carry a handheld light. No light on my carry gun. I'd take a quality red dot over a weapon mounted light any day.

Am I the only one who thinks that flashlights on weapons are counterproductive?

Flashlights on weapons especially defensive weapons. . Rifles, pistols, shotguns. To me they seem counterproductive. Here I am , shoot at me. I wont use them. Just me?

I'm looking at taking advantage of the Black Friday sale with Sig for a Romeo X. Part of the special deal is a free FOXTROT1 light. I don't plan on putting the light on the 365, but it will fit a couple of other guns we have.

Thanks. I really like the size the gun is at with the 12 round mags. Being able to stuff 2 more rounds in there and not lose any reliability sounds like a "win-win".

FWIW, I bought a new P365 slide with the Sig Romeo X Compact red dot a few months ago. I really like this optic. It fits the slide like it was made for it ('cause it was) and it conceals like it's not even there. I also haven't noticed any additional weight when it's on my belt. I use a Tenicor appendix holster.

For some reason, maybe I'm just getting better with pistol optice, it took me almost no time to get used to using this optic vs. the time it took me to adjust to using an RMR on my G29. The dot with ring seems to guide my eyes right where they need to be.

I would have bought a Romeo-X Compact last night, but I want the ring with dot in green and they are currently out of stock.
I hit the "notify me" button so Sig will let me know when they have it back in stock. With all of the other e-mails I've been getting from Sig in the last couple of weeks, I'm sure they will let me know!

I wanted the green dot as well, but they have been perpetually out of stock since the introduction. It doesn't seem like they ever made any, so I just bit the bullet and bought the red one.

If I can't get the Romeo in green, that may push me over to the Holosun 507K. The green works better for my eyeballs and I'd really like the ring/dot set up. I was pondering the 6MOA green dot, but am holding off for now.

Edit to add, both 3MOA and 6MOA green dots are in stock, just no green ring/dot.

Look around for a good deal on a new p365x then sell your p365. I bought a p365x package new for $574: came with flat trigger, black point holster with strut, 3 mags, sig red dot.

And Curt's didn't have a green Holosun in stock, so I just bought the red one. I was intending on getting green, but when I looked thru the red one at arms length I was impressed with how clear the reticle was and I bought it.
We (wife and I) took it out and shot it yesterday. Now I'm looking for a slide for her G43. She shot way better with the optic.
