Knew him since about 6 yo. Used to sleep over at his house when I was little. I remember when he found a stray dog and our family adopted it and we fed it like 2 boxes of ritz crackers it was so hungry. Dog hated the sight of a gun ha ha. I didn't know him much as an adult. Incredibly kind person. RIP Van
