Jakes in Bend, Sno-cap in Sisters. Big O in Redmond.
Man, three I too remember well!

Jake's kinda remains on Hwy 20 in Bend, but not anything like it used to be back 'in the day'. Man after the bars closed it was the go to spot to have breakfast, 'make time' with a gal you met or hang out until the sun came up!

It used to be pretty lively at times!
Liked Pilot Butte drive in better
I see it was sold and re opened as the Pilot Butte Taproom and Bend poker room.
Bar, pizza , poker tables. I might have to stop in sometime and check it out!

I remember Farrells. They made quite the performance bringing the zoo out to people. I don't recall if we ever ordered one of those. I remember the pig trough desert though. It was so long ago I can't even remember what I ate there now, but I know it was good. The uniforms and decor really made that place a throwback to a different time.
Wifey remembers Farrell's all the time when ever we drive on Broadway where it use to be. She says she thinks the "Pig Trough" was a HUGE banana split.

I lived three houses/buildings away from the Sno-Cap from 1965-68 in the Forest Service compound at the Ranger Station. We never ate there, but ice cream was a treat. I loved the black licorice back then.

Funny story about Rose's. 1980, when I was in the 6th grade, our class had a field trip to somewhere in Portland and Rose's was our lunch stop. We were told to bring $5 for lunch. the only thing on the menu at Rose's for $5 or less was the shrimp cocktail. An entire 6th grade class ordering shrimp cocktails for lunch!!
